 Mean Dog MusicTM promotes local bands, musicians, and a selection of D.J.s in the Central Ohio area. Established in early 2007, MDM is owned and operated by Jill "Mustang Sally" Cape. Working along with her on promotion, marketing, band/venue relations, and event organization is Debbie Rawlings. Heading up most of MDM's day-to-day booking is Jimmy Blaha. MDM was established to assist local musicians with the fundamental needs of operating and promoting a successful local band on their very often tight budgets. We at MDM do what we do simply because we love local music and we love promoting and marketing the local music scene. We're not in it for fame or fortune; we're in it because we're passionate about it. MDM is not an exclusive promoter; we refuse to make claims to be anyone's exclusive promotional source. The local music scene is too tough for us to be that arrogant. Bands and artists should be able to get their gigs wherever and however they come by them, whether that is by using us as a resource, by booking their own gigs, or by using another promoter as a resource. We don't want to limit any band to relying solely on us because it isn't fair to the band, and what's in the band's best interest is what we're all about. Therefore, there is no contract to sign and no retaining fee for our services. We will never put a band on our roster unless that band has first given us permission to do so. This also means that we don't book bands that have not given us prior permission to represent them. We do not seek out bands to represent, but instead expend our energy in promoting and booking those bands already in the MDM family. |
 After successful past events, we discovered the honest desire for local bands and musicians to give back to the community that supports them, but organizing and promoting such an event needs someone to head it up. That's where we come in. We tap into the vast local music scene several times a year to give both them and us a chance to give back to the community. We organize large charity events that utilize local bands and musicians, with their generous hearts and incredible talent, while we provide the promotion and marketing for the event.
